With her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to social causes, Cyrielle Mothes, a graduate of the class of 2023, has combined innovation and solidarity to launch Wœmen, a brand of boxer shorts that rethinks men's fashion while providing concrete support for women.

"After my BAC S, I continued my studies in IUT Marketing Techniques. In 2020, I joined the MBS Grande École program. My experience at the Bureau des Sports strengthened my interest in communications, which led me to specialize in digital marketing. It was also during my work-study program that the idea of starting my own business began to germinate."

Ethical, comfortable and supportive boxer shorts

In 2024, Cyrielle and her partner Enola Fillaudeau revolutionized men's fashion with Wœmen, a brand of organic cotton boxer shorts combining comfort and social commitment. Each purchase supports a societal cause: part of the price is dedicated to the purchase of sanitary protection, redistributed free of charge to women in need or otherwise.
Made in a family-run factory in Portugal, renowned for its know-how, Wœmen boxers meet the expectations of consumers concerned about their well-being and the environmental and social impact of their purchases.

Solidarity at the heart of the project

Founded in 2024, Wœmen's mission is to combat gender inequality and raise men's awareness of menstrual precariousness, a societal issue too often perceived as uniquely feminine. By wearing these boxer shorts, every man becomes an agent of change.

"With my partner Enola, we wanted to create a meaningful project that would be useful to society. Menstrual precariousness, which affected us as students, seemed an obvious cause. We wanted to rally men and women around this societal battle, by enabling them to get involved via a product: boxer shorts for men."

MBS, support for responsible and committed entrepreneurs

MBS is proud to support its alumni in their entrepreneurial projects, notably through the Entrepreneurship Center, which offers tailor-made coaching. The school encourages and supports its graduates in the development of their initiatives, thanks to a solid network, teaching resources and an environment conducive to innovation.

"MBS gave me the confidence to get started. I was able to meet many inspiring female entrepreneurs during my dissertation on female entrepreneurship. This network and these experiences were essential in taking the plunge and founding Wœmen."

A beneficial collaboration

In partnership with Jho, a brand of organic sanitary protection, Wœmen combines comfort, elegance and solidarity. This partnership reinforces the brand's commitment to responsible consumption and concrete help for women.

Challenges encountered as an entrepreneur

"The biggest challenge was to dare to launch my own business just after graduating. There were many doubts around us, and getting a bank loan was a real obstacle course because of our young age and lack of experience. But we persevered and proved our determination. Today, we are boldly overcoming the challenges of brand visibility on a limited budget."
