Presentation of the MBS Alumni Scholarship: A Celebration of Intergenerational Solidarity
On Tuesday March 4, 2025, the Grand Amphithéâtre Didier Jourdan at MBS School of Business was the setting for the Alumni Scholarship ceremony. This emblematic event highlights the commitment of the school and its alumni network to new generations of students, through financial support made up entirely of alumni donations. Five deserving students received grants to further their academic careers, in an atmosphere of emotion and recognition.
An alumni network committed to equal opportunities
The MBS alumni network is a dynamic community of over 23,000 members on five continents. This vast community represents not only a considerable professional force, but also a powerful lever of solidarity for the school and its current students.
This scholarship program, initiated five years ago, is part of an approach that reflects a shared vision of education as a vehicle for social advancement. Alumni involvement is not limited to funding scholarships; they are present at all levels of the school's ecosystem, including within its governance, testifying to their enduring attachment to the institution.

Inspiring testimonials that embody MBS values

Three generations of graduates were on hand to present the scholarships: Benjamin Chevallier (class of 2019), Didier Pastor (class of 1984) and Patrick Llobregat (class of 1982). For Patrick Llobregat, a graduate for over forty years, giving back to the school is a moral imperative.
"I've always wanted to give back some of what I earned when I left this school. [...] to help those who sit behind these benches after you to succeed so that the school is not just an elite recruiter, but an elite trainer".
Didier Pastor emphasized that the scholarship was an expression of the alumni's intergenerational solidarity, and reminded participants that alumni involvement can take many forms beyond financial support: participation in recruitment juries, networking events or sharing professional experience.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the scholarships to the five selected winners:
- Jibril Arafat
- Mohamed Bourrasque
- Mohamed Da Gama
- Marie Mitre
- Ali Hahn
These students have been selected according to a rigorous process that takes into account both academic excellence and financial need. What particularly resonates in the testimonials is the projection into the future and the desire to perpetuate this virtuous cycle. This promise testifies to the lasting impact of this initiative, which goes beyond mere financial support.

"I want to thank you, I think on behalf of everyone, already for believing in us. It's a great source of motivation".
Inspiring testimonials that embody MBS values
The Alumni Foundation Scholarship ceremony is a perfect illustration of how a community can mobilize its strengths to embody the values of inclusion and solidarity. Over and above the financial assistance granted to five deserving students, a whole ecosystem of support is at work. This initiative, enthusiastically supported by a worldwide network of graduates, testifies to the vitality of the ties that bind different generations to their alma mater.
"What could be more beautiful than investing for a better world?"
The winners leave not only with financial support, but also with the responsibility of perpetuating the generosity that is the pride and identity of MBS.
